Kok Gumbaz Mosque

The Kok Gumbaz (Blue Dome) Mosque was built by Ulugbek in 1437 in honour of his father. It is the most beautiful religious monument in Shakhrisabz and is still an active place of prayer. A surviving example of Timurid-era architecture.
