Registan
Mausoleum Complex · Samarkand

The most magnificent architectural ensemble in Central Asia: three monumental madrasas on a single square, the Ulugbek (1420), Sher-Dor (1636) and Tilla-Kori (1660) madrasas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is recognised as one of the most beautiful squares in the world. During the evening light show, the blue and gold tiles glow like a vision of paradise. Many visitors end up staying here for hours.
