Khiva: Two-Day Tour by Night Train

A weekend trip from Tashkent to Khiva by night train with a guided tour of Ichan-Kala, hotel stay and meals.

Khiva is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia and an open-air museum. The group leaves Tashkent on a Friday evening night train, spends two days in Khiva with a guide and returns by night train on Monday morning.

The programme covers a long walk through Ichan-Kala, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its palaces, madrasahs and minarets, including the Kalta Minor minaret, the Mausoleum of Pahlavon Mahmud, the Juma Mosque, Dishan-Kala and the Nurullabay Palace. The evening of the first day includes a trip to the new Arda-Khiva complex. Meals feature Khiva plov and the local Khorezm fish.

Entrance tickets are paid separately on site: 70,000 UZS for Uzbekistan residents (50% discount for pensioners, schoolchildren and students with an ID) and 370,000 UZS for foreign citizens. Train times may shift by about 30 minutes, and the order of sights may change.
