In the eastern bazaar, among melons and watermelons, Khoja Nasreddin begins to tell the story of Aladdin: "In a beautiful city, there lived a kind, very kind..." "Wicked, very wicked!.." Khoja's little donkey interrupts, and the well-known fairy tale takes on a new, unusual life on the stage of an equally new and unusual puppet theater. This tale, like a magic lamp flickering among treasures, enchants audiences again and again with its magic! The courtyard in front of Aladdin's house is so ordinary and familiar, with a wooden couch and a vineyard, and in contrast, there is the cave of the evil Sorcerer...
