Hazrat Khizr Mosque
Mosque · Samarkand

An ancient mosque on a hill next to Shah-i-Zinda, standing here since the 8th century. It is the best spot for the finest panorama of Samarkand: the dome of Bibi-Khanym, the Shah-i-Zinda ensemble and the city skyline are all visible from one place. Coming at sunset is recommended.
