Ishratkhona Mausoleum

A 15th-century mausoleum for women of the Timurid dynasty; its name means "House of Joy". The interior patterns and paintwork have survived, and unlike Shah-i-Zinda it sees fewer tourists. Fine ganch carving and gilding. A place to see genuine Timurid art up close.
