A three-day New Year trip to Samarkand by high-speed Afrosiyob train, with sightseeing, a festive banquet, a bazaar food quest and an Uzbek cooking class.
Welcome 2027 in Samarkand on a three-day, two-night trip from 31 December to 2 January. The group travels by the high-speed Afrosiyob train from Tashkent (times depend on the tickets) and stays at the Grand Sogdiana hotel.
The first day covers the Gur-Emir mausoleum and the Registan square, a visit to the Eternal City (Samarkand City) complex and a New Year banquet at 20:00 with a show, contests, a disco and Father Frost. The second day is for rest at the hotel's indoor pool, Finnish and Turkish saunas and winter water park. On the third day the group takes part in a team food quest at the oriental bazaar, then cooks traditional Uzbek dishes in a crafts centre and tastes them for lunch, with free time for souvenirs before the evening train back to Tashkent.
Price is 4,190,000 UZS per person, train tickets included; children under 10 get a 10% discount. The tour is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
