Toqi Zargaron
Market · Bukhara

Built in the 16th century, this is the largest of the four Silk Road trading domes, known as the “jewellers' dome”. It once housed more than 35 jewellery workshops; today its shops sell traditional handicrafts, miniatures, embroidery and souvenirs. Standing under the central dome and looking up is a wonderful way to feel the geometry of the architecture.
