Gaukushon Madrasah
Madrasah · Bukhara

Built in the 16th century, its name means “the place where bulls are slaughtered”, as there used to be a livestock market in this area. Its minaret and portal have survived, surrounded by quiet neighbourhood streets. Being off the main tourist route, it offers a chance to observe local life.
