Magoki Kurpa Mosque
Mosque · Bukhara

Built in 1637 by Sheikh Khoja Kalon, this is one of Bukhara's two “sunken” (magoki) mosques; like Magoki Attori, it was buried under layers of earth over the centuries. It has a two-storey domed structure and is a quiet spot that tourists hardly ever visit, making it an interesting stop for those who enjoy exploring the old city's neighbourhoods.
