Namazgah Mosque
Mosque · Bukhara

Built between the 12th and 16th centuries, this mosque with a large open-air space was used for Eid prayers. It has no walls, only the mihrab wall and a minbar, as it was designed for communal Eid prayers. It lies some way from the city centre and sees few tourists, but it is interesting as a rare type of Bukharan architecture.
