Zindon Prison Museum
Museum · Bukhara

The emirate-era prison building is now a small museum. Its best-known exhibit is a deep pit called the “chuqqi”, where prisoners were held together with snakes and scorpions, shown with wax figures. The prison walls and examples of weapons are preserved. A quick but powerful and slightly chilling experience, located near the Ark.
